Meet your personal planner

What is Nursie?

Nursie is a personal nurse shift and rota planner for iPhone, iPad, and Android. It helps nurses organise working shifts and days off, add repeating patterns, set reminders, estimate pay, reflect on wellbeing, and share schedule basics.

Made by Paula and John in Ireland, Nursie combines a nurse-focused calendar with space for life between shifts. It is for managing your own nursing schedule, rather than assigning a ward’s staffing coverage.

Who is Nursie a good fit for?

Nursie is designed for individual nurses, including hospital, clinic, and agency nurses managing changing shifts. Nursing students and other healthcare shift workers can also use it as a personal planner.

Consider it if you want shift types, recurring patterns, pay estimates, and wellbeing reflections together. A general calendar may be enough if you only need appointments and reminders. If you need staffing allocation or an employer-approved rota, use your organisation’s scheduling system. Nursie does not replace that system.

One shift plan, different names

You may call your work pattern a rota in Ireland or the UK, a roster in Australia or New Zealand, or a nursing schedule in the US or Canada. These terms overlap: Nursie helps you record your personal working shifts and time off whichever wording you use.

Country examples explain terminology, not guaranteed store availability. Check your local App Store or Google Play listing before downloading. Nursie is a personal planner; do not assume it connects to an NHS, HSE, hospital, payroll, or local staffing system.

Common questions about Nursie

Is Nursie a nurse scheduling app or a rota planner?

Both describe its personal planning role. Nursie helps an individual nurse record and organise their own shifts. It is not a system for managers to allocate staff coverage.

Can Nursie handle night shifts and changing shift times?

Yes. Nursie supports day, evening, night, and custom shifts. Recurring patterns help with repeated rotas, and days off and leave can sit alongside working shifts.

Is Nursie available for iPhone and Android?

Nursie has an App Store listing for iPhone and iPad and a Google Play listing for Android. Check the listing on your device for regional availability, compatibility, and current features.

Is Nursie free?

Nursie is free to download, with some advanced features available through Nursie Pro or in-app purchases. Current prices and purchase options are shown in your device’s app store.

Does Nursie calculate my official salary?

No. Nursie provides pay and overtime estimates based on your settings and shift entries. Your employer’s payroll and payslip remain the source for actual pay.

Why would a nurse choose Nursie?

Nursie brings personal rota planning, reminders, pay estimates, schedule sharing, and wellbeing reflections into one nurse-focused app. It was shaped by Paula’s nursing experience and built with John to make life around shifts easier to organise.
