Privacy Policy for Nursie: Nurse Shift Planner

About Nursie

Nursie: Nurse Shift Planner ("Nursie", "the app", "we", "us") is designed to help nurses plan shifts, personal events, rotas, reminders, pay estimates, overtime, mood reflections, and shared group schedules.

We respect your privacy and aim to collect only what is needed to provide and improve the app.

Information You Add to the App

You may choose to enter information such as:

• Shift dates, times, and shift types
• Personal-event titles, dates, times, locations, notes, recurrence, and reminder choices
• Notes about your shifts
• Hospital or workplace names
• Pay, overtime, and allowance settings
• Mood reflections and wellbeing notes
• App preferences, themes, and notification settings
• Shared group profile details, such as display name and avatar colour

Please do not enter patient names, chart numbers, phone numbers, addresses, or any other patient-identifying information into Nursie.

How Your Data Is Stored

Most of your personal schedule data is stored on your device.

If iCloud Sync is available and enabled, your app data may sync through your own Apple iCloud account so you can access it across your devices. This data is managed through Apple's iCloud services and your Apple ID.

On Android, your personal rota and private notes are stored locally. Android's operating-system backup service may back up eligible app data according to your device and Google account settings.

On iOS, personal events use the same private iCloud-backed app database as your rota when iCloud Sync is available. On Android, personal events remain local and may be included in eligible operating-system backups.

Shared Groups

If you choose to use Shared Groups, Nursie uses Firebase to help group members view shared rota information.

Shared Groups may share schedule information such as:

• Shift dates
• Shift times
• Shift type
• For custom shifts, the title, emoji, colour, and work or time-off status
• Group member display name
• Avatar colour

Shared Groups and Family View are designed not to share your private notes, mood reflections, reflection text, workplace details, pay information, or overtime details. Custom shift titles can be visible to group members and anyone with your Family View link, so do not put patient-identifying information in a custom shift title.

Personal events always stay private. They are not included in Shared Groups, Family View links, share cards, public schedule links, widgets, or shift exports.

Shared Groups is optional. Sign in with Apple is used to authenticate a Shared Groups account on iOS, and Google Sign-In is used on Android. Your personal rota remains available without signing in.

Purchases and Subscriptions

Nursie uses RevenueCat together with Apple's App Store on iOS and Google Play Billing on Android to manage Pro access, purchases, subscriptions, free trials, and purchase restoration.

We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Payments are handled by Apple or Google, depending on your platform.

Analytics and Diagnostics

Nursie may use Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics to understand app usage, improve features, and diagnose crashes or technical problems.

Analytics and crash data are designed not to include hospital names, private notes, mood reflection text, patient details, or other sensitive schedule content. Personal-event IDs, titles, locations, notes, dates, and times are never included.

On Android, analytics and crash-report collection is off by default and starts only if you enable the anonymous diagnostics option in Settings. You can withdraw that choice in Settings at any time to stop future collection from that device.

Notifications

Nursie may schedule local notifications on your device to remind you about upcoming shifts, personal events, or app activity. Personal-event notification text contains the event title and timing, but not its notes or location. Notification settings can be managed in your device settings.

Feedback

If you choose to send feedback through the app, we receive your message and any email address you optionally provide. The submission also includes the device model, operating-system version, app version and build, a feedback-device identifier, locale, time zone, feedback category, satisfaction rating, and current Pro-access status so we can investigate and respond.

Feedback is currently delivered to a private Google Sheet using Google Apps Script. Please do not include patient-identifying or other sensitive clinical information.

Website Usage Information

When you visit the Nursie website, we may record page views and App Store link clicks together with a randomly generated website visitor identifier, the page address, referring page or domain, campaign parameters, general device type, and browser type.

The website visitor identifier is stored in your browser's local storage until you clear that site data. It is hashed before being stored with website analytics records and is used to understand aggregate visits and campaign performance.

How We Use Information

We use information to:

• Provide the app's calendar, rota, reminder, pay, overtime, and group sharing features
• Sync data across your own devices when supported
• Manage subscriptions and Pro access
• Improve app performance and reliability
• Respond to feedback or support requests
• Keep Shared Groups working correctly

We do not sell your personal information.

Third-Party Services

Nursie may use the following services:

• Apple iCloud, for optional sync across your Apple devices
• Apple App Store, for purchases and subscriptions
• Sign in with Apple, for optional Shared Groups authentication on iOS
• Google Sign-In, for optional Shared Groups authentication on Android
• Google Play, for Android purchases and subscriptions
• RevenueCat, for subscription and purchase management
• Firebase, for Shared Groups, analytics, crash reporting, and related app services
• Google Apps Script and Google Sheets, for feedback you choose to submit

These services may process information according to their own privacy policies.

Account and Data Deletion

You can delete app data from within the app or by removing the app from your device.

If you use Shared Groups, you can delete your Shared Groups account in Nursie from Shared Groups > account menu > Delete Shared Groups account. This removes your profile, group memberships, and uploaded rota copies; the personal rota stored on your phone is not affected.

If you no longer have the app, you can request the same account and associated-data deletion using the instructions below. Because Sign in with Apple may use a private relay address, include enough information for us to identify the account without sending rota, patient, or other sensitive clinical information. Use the subject “Nursie account deletion request” so we can verify the request and respond promptly.

Deleting a Shared Groups account does not cancel an active Nursie Pro subscription. Subscriptions can be cancelled separately in Google Play or Apple account settings.

Data Retention

Personal rota data stored only on your device remains there until you delete it, reset the app, or remove applicable device or iCloud data. Shared Groups account data is retained while the account is active and is removed through the in-app or assisted account-deletion process, subject to limited backups and records we must retain for security or legal reasons.

Feedback, support, analytics, diagnostics, and website measurement records are kept only for as long as reasonably needed to respond, maintain security, understand app reliability, and improve Nursie. You may ask us to delete personal information associated with you using the contact details below.

Children's Privacy

Nursie is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a new "Last updated" date.
